At Home Fitness! (30 day challenge) Last Fit Test

Woo-Hoo!!!  I have completed the 30 day challenge with a bang!  I took the last fit test and I feel great about where I have ended up.  I will say this, I know you can only accomplish so many reps in 50 seconds so I am not sure how much my numbers could have changed, but I pushed as hard as I could for the entire 30 days.  I felt the best adding in an extra 10 min or so with the workout trainer app.  You can make those workouts very customized.  Therefore, I am using it as a supplement. Still keeping the entire thing under 30 min to suit my purpose right now which is to prove I can get results and feel great without 1. going to a gym and 2. working out for an hour.  I definitely see success after 30 days in these 2 things.

At Home Fitness! (30 day challenge)

I have hit week 4 of my 30 day challenge and it is going so great.  My body feels better than it has in a long time.  I am following the Body Rock  program and I have added in this app that my amazing friend Maia introduced me to called Workout Trainer.  It adds however many minute you choose and at whatever level of intensity.  I add about 6 or 7 minutes and it still keeping my workout under 30 minutes!!  The best part is I have done it ALL from my home.  I have even moved outside to the pool deck and enjoyed the fresh air while working out and even creating a little more sweat!

I will say this for Body Rock, they have done an amazing job challenging my mind and entertaining my body.  I feel sore in different places and at different times.  I still haven'the figured out how to post video, but I have done some cool alternatives to some of their exercises because I don'the have all the right equipment, but my alternatives have always been harder.

Anyone else working on a challenge??

At Home Fitness! (30 day challenge) Better than ever!

You might be wondering how it went after "the bug"!!  I went back at it full force and yesterday felt kinda cruddy, not gonna lie!  But today I did both Lisa's and Sean's workouts as planned and then added something.  My best friend Maia gave me a heads up on a app called Workout Trainer.  It added a nice touch today.  I used my Total Gym as part of my Body Rock workout to substitute  for some of the equipment they use that I do not have.  I worked out until I was a limp noodle and still all in about 30 min.

I have been working out by the pool blaring some music and I feel great!  New baby chickens "peep, peepin'" away and a borrowed goat "baaaaaaaaa-ing" to the sound of her own bell!  Great day!

At Home Fitness! (30 day challenge) "The Bug"

Based on the title of this blog, you may think I was hit with the workout bug!  Well, duh, I was.  But that was a long, long time ago.  This was a bug of the opposite nature.  This bug, quite literally, takes it all out of you!  In our house of 4 people, 3 got the stomach virus.  So how does that relate to 30 days of fitness?  Oh it relates!  It extends it for as long as it takes to move again.

Basically, today's blog is about what you do when you are trying to improve fitness and you get sick!  I stopped working out, to put it lightly. Not only did one of my children have it, but myself and my husband had it too.  This means I am now rebuilding my food intake, therefore my energy.  I will most likely going backwards to the fit test and starting week 3 over.  I want to make sure I get the most out of this.  But it all depends how I feel.  Today is the first day I will be working out again.  I am certain, based on my past experience, this will be a slow, weak day; but will be a quick recovery thanks to muscle memory.

Take heart, if you have to stop due to illness or injury, your body remembers, and will help you.  Just be kind to it!
